Greetings from the Staff of "The Hospital Art Project"
The Hospital Art Project has been active in providing hospital environments with various works of art. Our mission is to touch the lives of people and instill rest and peace in the hospital setting.
Our newest project entitled "Journeying Stars" is a group of works from several volunteer artists and Kitanomine Gakuen Painting club with Hinoma Hiroko as attender. It is the 18th exhibition in our 17th year and is held at hospital in Sapporo Japan.
Art Exhibition and Activities
The "Hospital Art Project" was originally intended to bring a vibrant cultural environment to the medical care setting. It was intended for people, especially children, who physically and mentally suffer from illness and disability to feel comforted. Since its beginnings it has been a way for patients to express themselves in art and have a place where art works are exhibited. The goal of this art project is to connect to the public to the hospital through the exploration of one's art.
Activities of the “Hospital Art Project” embrace the hope and message that art may empower people's hearts through "Art work," "Workshop," "Lecture," and "Concert".
Both Project and hospital staff teams keep in consultation to plan the art exhibition in order to refer to the characteristics of both the hospital and the regional area environments.
